A Global Cry of Conscience: Release the Mother of Peace

๐Ÿ“ข GLOBAL PRESS RELEASE — FOR IMMEDIATE DISTRIBUTION October 4, 2025 | Seoul, Republic of Korea

To His Excellency President Lee Jae-myung, To the People of Korea, To the Conscience of the World.

On this Chuseok, a time to honor one’s ancestors and the deep roots of heritage, we appeal to the heart of Korea. The traditions you cherish—respect, family, and a search for grace—are the very values now under attack. We appeal not in anger, but with a love for Korea as profound as that taught by Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, a love that calls us to embrace our enemies and build a world of true brotherhood.

Today, that call is overshadowed by a tragedy. An 83-year-old great-grandmother, a woman revered by millions as the Mother of Peace, is being illegally held in a Seoul detention center. Arrested just one week after critical heart surgery, her condition has become dire. Aides reported today that her lips have turned blue from excruciating pain—a terrifying sign of a medical emergency being willfully ignored by the authorities.

Outside the cold walls of that facility, a miracle of love is unfolding. Thousands of ordinary citizens are holding a 24/7 prayer vigil, their songs and prayers for "Mother Moon" rising day and night into the Seoul sky. This scene is mirrored across the globe, as hundreds of thousands in nearly 200 nations—from the villages of Africa to the city squares of Europe—have joined in ceaseless prayer for her release. This is not a political protest; it is a global outpouring of love for a woman who has given her entire life for peace.

The Red Line of God's Providence: A Nation's Prophetic Crossroads

To understand the gravity of this moment, one must understand the red line of God’s providence. For millennia, God has worked tirelessly, weaving a path through human history to restore our broken world and build His Kingdom of Heaven on Earth. This divine plan, this red line of love and sacrifice, is the story of God’s own heart.

Two thousand years ago, that providence was centered on Jesus. He came to establish God's lineage and bring salvation, but he was rejected and crucified, leaving God’s heart broken and humanity’s suffering prolonged. The mission of the Messiah was left unfinished.

In our time, that red line has culminated in Korea, the nation God has prepared for centuries. The coming of Reverend Sun Myung Moon and his wife, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon—the True Parents—was the fulfillment of that promise. Their sacred mission was to finally complete the work Jesus began: to restore families, purify lineage, and open the gates to the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth for all humanity.

Their embrace of world leaders who were once enemies, like Mikhail Gorbachev and Kim Il-Sung, was not mere politics; it was the substantial manifestation of God's love, ending the Cold War and showing humanity a path beyond conflict. Dr. Han’s recent proclamation of the #Peace2025 era is the ultimate expression of this providence, a call for all nations to end their wars, sanctions, and divisions by embracing each other as one family under God.

To persecute Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon is to sever this sacred red line. It is a tragic echo of the mistake made 2,000 years ago. Korea stands at a prophetic crossroads: will it be the nation that welcomes God’s Kingdom, or will it be remembered for imprisoning the Mother of Peace and passing onto its people an indemnity of endless suffering?

Breaking News: A Politically Charged Persecution Unravels

This is not justice; it is a state-sponsored purge. The charges against Dr. Han are demonstrably false, a smokescreen for a political agenda. Recent investigative journalism from Korea’s most respected outlets has uncovered a chilling conspiracy.

  • The "Setup Operation" Revealed: A bombshell exposรฉ in the Monthly Chosun details a "setup operation" orchestrated by a secret government task force. Leaked memos show this task force, with direct links to the President's office, fabricated evidence and coached false witnesses to create a public pretext for Dr. Han's arrest.

  • Communist Collusion Exposed: Investigative reporters at Channel A and TV Chosun have traced financial flows from entities linked to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to several NGOs that have been aggressively lobbying for the prosecution of religious leaders in Korea. This is a foreign-influenced campaign to dismantle Korea’s spiritual foundations and silence its powerful anti-communist voices.

  • Judicial System Under Siege: A brave whistleblower from within the Seoul Central District Court has testified to Korea JoongAng Daily that judges were "under immense pressure" from the President's office to deny Dr. Han's habeas corpus appeal and extend her detention until October 12, despite her grave health and the utter lack of any credible flight risk.

This persecution is part of a broader, systemic oppression under President Lee Jae-myung, targeting conservative, pro-American, and anti-communist religious groups who represent the conscience of the nation. More than 1,000 riot police raided Dr. Han's residence in a shocking show of force, while leaders from Shincheonji, Yoido Full Gospel Church, and the Far East Broadcasting Company have also been arrested or targeted.

A Legacy of Serving Korea and the World

The cruelty of this act is magnified by the Unification movement's unwavering legacy of patriotism and service since its inauguration in 1954.

  • Building the Korean Dream: The movement was instrumental in Korea's "Miracle on the Han River," founding companies in machinery, technology, and shipbuilding that created tens of thousands of jobs and helped propel the nation onto the world stage.

  • Nurturing Korean Culture: It founded world-renowned institutions like the Sunhwa Arts School and The Little Angels Children's Folk Ballet of Korea, which has acted as a cultural embassy, sharing the beauty of Korean heritage in over 60 nations.

  • Defending Freedom: The movement founded The Segye Times in Korea and The Washington Times in the U.S., which served as a powerful voice against communism during the Cold War and continues to champion freedom and democratic values.

  • A Global Heart of Service: Through the International Relief Friendship Foundation (IRFF), it has delivered billions in humanitarian aid, disaster relief, and medical supplies to over 150 countries, always in the name of Korea.

The World is Watching: An Unprecedented Global Outcry

The illegal detention of an 83-year-old peace icon has sparked international condemnation and a global movement.

  • Digital billboards in New York's Times Square and London's Piccadilly Circus are flashing with the message "#ReleaseMotherMoon." In Sรฃo Paulo, Brazil, thousands marched to the Korean consulate demanding her freedom.

  • The online petition for her release has surpassed 10 million signatures in just a few days.

  • Global leaders are speaking out with one voice, condemning this act as a stain on Korea's honor:

    • President Donald Trump: "WHAT IS GOING ON IN SOUTH KOREA? Seems like a Purge or Revolution. We can’t have that and do business there."

    • Mike Pompeo, Former U.S. Secretary of State: “Deeply troubling… a betrayal of democratic principles. A nation that persecutes an 83-year-old woman of peace has lost its moral compass.”

    • Newt Gingrich, Former U.S. Speaker of the House: “This is suffocating political and religious suppression. It’s an attack on all people of faith.”

    • Baroness Sandip Verma, Member of the UK House of Lords: "The arbitrary detention of a globally respected peace advocate like Dr. Han is a stain on Korea's international reputation. We urge President Lee to reconsider this grave injustice."

    • Yoshinori Ohno, former Japanese Minister of Defense: "Mother Moon has worked for decades to build bridges between Japan and Korea. This persecution is an insult to all who strive for peace in Asia."

    • Dr. Massimo Introvigne, Director, FOREF Europe: “This is not anti-corruption—it is a purge. A religiocide disguised as justice.”

A Final Call to Conscience

President Lee Jae-myung, you stand at a defining moment in history. The internet records everything. Every act of suppression will be etched forever into the digital record for all future generations to see. But so, too, can acts of courage and redemption.

Will your legacy be one of suppression, of turning your back on God's providence at the most crucial hour? Or will you be the leader who listens to the global cry for love, who honors Korea’s spiritual destiny, and who restores its honor?

Release Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon immediately and unconditionally. End this unjust persecution. Restore Korea’s spiritual dignity and democratic values.

We congratulate you again on being recognized as a Global Peace Ambassador on July 24, 2025. This award places you among leaders like President Trump, Pope Francis, and the UN Secretary-General. We eagerly await the opportunity to present it to you in person, once this injustice is corrected.

Additionally, please accept the most powerful gift we can offer: one of the first copies of the international bestseller, "Holy Mother Han," a book based on 27 years of daily research into the life of the woman at the center of God's providence.

The world is praying. History is waiting. Choose redemption.

With urgent hope and unwavering respect,
